Hi, I’m Dr. Mayra I. Rodríguez, an urban and community forestry specialist who helps cities, organizations, and communities use data, education, and collaboration to build healthier urban forests.
My work sits at the intersection of urban forestry, community planning, and spatial data visualization. I partner with municipalities, nonprofits, and community groups to better understand tree canopy, climate risk, and green infrastructure—and to turn that knowledge into practical strategies and programs.
I specialize in:
Urban forest planning and community engagement • Tree canopy and geospatial analysis • Green space planning and design • Educational programs and public workshops • Translating science into tools communities can actually use
Whether I’m facilitating community conversations, analyzing spatial data, or designing learning experiences, my goal is the same: to help communities make informed decisions about their urban forests and environmental future.
This site highlights examples of my work, partnerships, and projects. If you’re interested in collaborating or bringing urban forestry to your community, feel free to read my vita, explore my portfolio or get in touch.
